Jiffy Mixers
Jiffy Mixers are the tool of choice for mixing over about 1 pound of alginate. Attached to an electric drill, it is quite possible to mix up to 3 or 4 pounds of alginate in less than a minute with a large Jiffy Mixer. Make sure to run the drill "backwards" (counterclockwise) to avoid whipping in a lot of bubbles.

The 35-cc Catheter-Tip Syringe
