Accu-Cast 580-CC - - -(Color-Changing)

580-CC is just like our popular 380-CC alginate except that it sets in 5 minutes (when using 80°F water) instead of 3 minutes. Designed for larger hand casting projects.

We're really excited about this new product. This color-changing alginate tells you when to put your hands in.

580-CC powder is white. When you add water it changes to a bright bubble-gum pink. At about 4 minutes, the pink fades to white telling you that its time to put your hand(s) in the mold.

The alginate should be set (dry on the surface) at 5 minutes and you can take your hands out at 5 minutes 30 seconds.

With 90°F water, it will fade at ~3:35 and set (dry surface) at ~4:30, with hands "out" at 4:00.

Best when mixed at between 4:1 and 5:1 (water weight to powder weight by weight), or about 1.25:1 (water to powder) by volume.

Mixes smooth and creamy, sets rubbery and strong. Easy to get your hands out of. Stone models come out smooth and detailed.
