Alginate Bags

The easiest and neatest way to mix alginate is in a bag. This is how we recommend mixing in our Hand Casting Kit.

We have put together pre-weighed bags of alginate specifically for doing hand casting in various sized buckets. Bags are 3-mil thick for strength.

The Small Alginate Bag is enough for a 1 quart bucket (Baby Hand Cast). Just add 3 cups (24 fl. oz.) of water and mix.
The Medium Alginate Bag is enough for a 4 quart bucket (Regular Hand Cast: 2 to 3 hands). Just add 3 quarts (96 fl. oz.) water and mix.
The Large Alginate Bag is enough for an 8 quart bucket (Large Hand Cast: 3 to 5 hands). Just add 6 quarts (192 fl. oz.) water and mix.

Just add water, grab the top of the bag tightly and mix against the table. Since there's no mixing bucket, whisk or jiffy mixer, cleanup is a snap.

The easiest and neatest way to mix LiquiStone is in a bag. This is how we recommend mixing in our Hand Casting Kit.

We have put together pre-weighed bags of LiquiStone Gypsum Cement specifically for doing hand casting in various sized buckets.

The Small LiquiStone Bag is enough for a 1 quart bucket. Just add 7 fl.oz. of water and mix.
The Medium LiquiStone Bag is enough for a 4 quart bucket. Just add 21 fl.oz. of water and mix.
The Large LiquiStone Bag is enough for an 8 quart bucket. Just add 42 fl.oz. of water and mix.

Just add water, grab the top of the bag tightly and mix against the table. Since there's no mixing bucket, whisk or jiffy mixer, cleanup is a snap.

Each bucket has a slit cut down the side to help getting the alginate mold out once the LiquiStone has set. Tape up the slit for making the mold, untape it and voila, the alginate pops out.
