EASY Child Hand Casting Kit

This kit contains everything you'll need to produce a hard stone lifecasting hand castof a child's hand from about 6 months to 5 years old.

This is the very same technique used by professional lifecasters who earn their living doing this. "Mix-in-the-Bag" technique makes this procedure easy, with very little cleanup time afterward.

Color-Changing alginate tells you when to put the child's hand in the bucket.

"Mix-In-The-Bag" Alginate

The easiest and neatest way to mix alginate is in a bag. This is how we recommend mixing in our Hand Casting Kits and our Torso Casting Kit.

We have put together pre-weighed bags of alginate specifically for doing hand casting in various sized buckets. Bags are 3-mil thick for strength.

The Small Alginate Bag is enough for a 1 quart bucket (Baby Hand Cast) Just add 3 cups (24 fl. oz.) of water and mix.
The Medium Alginate Bag is enough for a 4 quart bucket (Regular Hand Cast: 2 to 3 hands). Just add 3 quarts (96 fl. oz.) water and mix.
The Large Alginate Bag is enough for an 8 quart bucket (Large Hand Cast: 3 to 5 hands). Just add 6 quarts (192 fl. oz.) water and mix.

Just add water, grab the top of the bag tightly and mix against the table. Since there's no mixing bucket, whisk or jiffy mixer, cleanup is a snap.

The Medium LiquiStone Bag is enough for a 4 quart bucket. Just add 21 fl.oz. of water and mix.
The Large LiquiStone Bag is enough for an 8 quart bucket. Just add 42 fl.oz. of water and mix.

Each bucket has a slit cut down the side to help getting the alginate mold out once the LiquiStone has set. Tape up the slit for making the mold, untape it and voila, the alginate pops out.
